WizOrder/Horizon Expert Orders (HEO)

WizOrder is a computerized clinician order entry system continuously developed by DBMI faculty working with Informatics Center staff and trainees at Vanderbilt since 1994. It is used "at the point of care" to support clinicians as they make important decisions regarding a patient's clinical course. WizOrder helps to ensure the highest quality of care for VUMC patients, while reducing medical errors. Find out more....

In 2001, Vanderbilt sold the rights for commercial development and marketing of WizOrder to Atlanta-based McKessonHBOC, Inc. Horizon Expert Orders will provide the backbone for Horizon Clinicals, a suite of products encompassing point-of care clinical documentation as well as laboratory and pharmacy solutions. StarChart/StarPanel

StarChart is the user-friendly system for viewing patient records at Vanderbilt Medical Center. It integrates patient data from multiple sources, including lab results, radiology reports, discharge summaries, anatomic pathology, physician notes, letters, etc. The patient record is displayed as individual reports and easy-to-read spreadsheets.

StarPanel is an integrated web-based application that allows access to electronic clinical information from one screen. Ir includes all the functionality of StarChart and allows you to view multiple patients and results at one time. The power of StarPanel is that it gives you immediate access to new results for all your patients. Find out more....

RXStar

RxStar is a program created at Vanderbilt whose goal is to significantly limit opportunities for medical error. The program is integrated with the Vanderbilt electronic health record StarPanel, and contains a series of features designed to improve patient safety without compromising system speed or usability.
